Designer Anouki Areshidze is a young emerging designer from Georgia. At only 27 years, Anouki and her brand are one of the most popular ones in this small country. The designer set her Spring 2018 show at the huge Expo Georgia during the MBFW, Tbilisi. Once again, she decided to play with cuts and patterns and delighted us with another fresh wave of her designs.
Anouki is the wife of Georgian former soccer player Kakha Kaladze. Kakha after finishing his sports career became a politician and was recently elected a Mayor of Tbilisi. This drew even more attention to Areshidze’s work, so her latest presentation became a real spectacle. The powerful position that her husband is in, has nothing to do with her popularity. Anyways, the Expo Georgia this year was more than packed during her Spring 2018 show. The young designer managed to build a brand that is recognizable not only in Georgia but also outside of the country’s borders.
It seems that sequins will make a huge come-back during the upcoming season. And the best thing about them is that you can wear them as a part of your everyday outfits. Until recently, the sparkle was reserved for special events, but thanks to the diverse fashion market you can wear anything at any time. There are ladies that will find sequins in daywear as too much. But in Anouki’s line, everything was very balanced. You will not feel even for a second that these designs cannot be worn for casual gatherings.
That is the beauty of Areshidze’s work. The First Lady of Tbilisi really knows how to make you want to wear designs that you never thought you would. She involved an array of patterns that remind of warm summer days. Vibrant florals and stripes are approved by the designer for the following season. The collection is rich in separates and dresses that are very easy to wear. What makes fans most excited about when it comes to Anouki, is her impeccable footwear line. This time she didn’t disappoint, presenting feminine shoes decorated with fun details.
The young fashionista studied in some of the most renowned universities in Europe. She gained her education at Accademia del Lusso and also Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Anouki founded her eponymous label in 2013 and she designs clothing, accessories, and shoes. Today, she grew into an eminent Georgian designer that you can find at the popular e-retailer Moda Operandi.
