He channels every glamorous decade through his designs.
Although he lives in Paris now, he got back to Georgia to show his Spring 2018 Collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tbilisi. This show felt more personal. Instead of adjusting and preening the models backstage, the designer did all that while the models walked on the runway. He wanted to give a sneak peek of the magic that happens backstage.
Djaba Diassamidze invited close friends to model the spring 2018 offerings. Among the gorgeous models who walked the runway were the ultimate Tbilisi It girl Nini Nebieridze, and Djaba’s designer friend Ketevane Maissaia. His shows are always intimate, but dramatic. Djaba Diassamidze likes to keep things private. As a couture designer, he mainly works with private clients and small boutiques. That gives him a chance to give his undivided attention to every one of his clients. Besides the bodies, he also cares about their personalities. His clothes are tailored to fit both the body and the spirit. Haute Couture fashion isn’t always about comfort, but Djaba Diassamidze tries to make sure that his clients will have a good time in his clothes.
The Spring 2018 collection carried the designer’s love for vintage glamour. Elegant gloves, tulle fabrics, and fabulous hats infused the pieces with an Old Hollywood glamour. Djaba Diassamidze designs for ladies who want to stay classy and get all eyes on them wherever they show up. His latest collection was no different when it comes to statement-making gowns.
A the age of 29, Djaba Diassamidze is already a veteran on the couture fashion scene. The designer showed his first collection at the Georgian National Youth Palace when he was only 16 years old. His style evolved and became more refined throughout the years. Now he dresses up ladies who are unafraid to express their sensuality and get all the attention. His designs will make you wish to be invited to a glamorous event, dress to impress and flaunt your favorite red lipstick.
