BBC Children in Need and Katie Grand teamed up with the biggest model names and brands right now for a charitable cause. This year BBC will debut their first designer Pudsey Ears collection. For that purpose, luxury fashion houses Burberry, Prada, Fendi, Coach, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Tommy Hilfiger reinvented the popular Pudsey headpieces. Each one of these brands gave their own signature touch to the ears and transformed them into unique high-end versions.
“I am delighted to be involved in this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal and to have curated the 2017 Designer Pudsey Ears Collection. What an incredible collection of exquisite designs! Each designer has surpassed themselves in adding their own unique identity to their headpiece.”- Katie Grand explained.
A-list celebrities and models such as Adwoa Aboah, Taylor Hill, Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Selena Gomez, Suki Waterhouse also joined to help the charity.Louis Vuitton and Supreme teamed up once again to present their version of the Pudsey ears. The two brands used their recognizable denim fabric and Vuitton’s logo stamp for the headpiece. In addition to that, they also presented a 28 inch Pudsey bear, in light jean fabric dressed in a Supreme shirt. Eddie Campbell had the honors to model the final designs of this collaboration. Eric Underwood, on the other hand, shows off Fendy’s simple, but eye-catching design.
The It girl of the moment, Kaia Gerber flashes a smile while wearing a headpiece by Prada. The design of the Italian fashion house features heavy embellishment done in different types of fun beads. As you probably expected, Selena Gomez collaborated with Coach on her own version of the Pudseys.
Burberry’s headpiece is made from the popular plaid fabric and decorated with safety pins, studs, and chains. They tapped Suki Waterhouse, Iris Law and Georgia May Jagger to present their design.
If you are more into statement pieces, you will love the ones from Gucci and Miu Miu. Adwoa Aboah presents Gucci’s pink ears that are bejeweled with diamonds and pearls. And the shiniest pair this time comes from Miu Miu. Modeled by Taylor Hill and Erin O’Connor, the headpiece looks very much like a tiara.
The designer collection will be auctioned off online starting from 9 am on November 9 to November 19. Until then you can bid on your favorite pair. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Children in Need charity.
